Boiler servicing

An annual boiler service checks the appliance is running safely and efficiently: burner and heat exchanger condition, flue integrity, gas pressure, and general condition of the seals and casing. Most manufacturer warranties require an annual service to stay valid, so it is worth booking on a regular date each year rather than letting it slip.

Boiler repair

Common faults: no heat or hot water, low pressure, strange noises, the boiler locking out and needing a reset, a pilot light or ignition fault. Gas safety certificates (CP12)

Landlords are legally required to have gas appliances checked annually by a Gas Safe registered engineer and to hold a current Gas Safety Record (commonly called a CP12) for each rented property. We carry these out and provide the certificate the same day where the property passes cleanly.

Checking who you are dealing with

Every Gas Safe registered engineer carries an ID card with a registration number, a photo, and the specific categories of gas work they are qualified for. You are entitled to ask to see it before any gas work starts, and we would rather you asked than assumed.
